Axelent Safety book

The group’s tasks vary in scope and knowledge is shared through, for instance, different information and training initiatives. Its mandate encompasses everything from machine safety training and updating Axelent’s unique Safety Book through responsibility for machine safety texts on the web to maintaining a broad consensus within the Group as regards safety.

Matthias Schulz brings invaluable knowledge to the table when it comes to interpreting and explaining new standards. In the Safety Book, he simplifies these often complex texts, creating easily grasped clarifications that everyone can understand.

The Switch Selection Guide is another example of the group’s work to simplify important information – in this case relating to Axelent’s products. This guide, created by Marc Van den Ende, explains and clarifies which locks and switches can be combined when different safety levels need to be in place.

The Axelent Safety Group will also be involved in the company’s product range. With the end user ever in mind, intensive efforts are under way to ensure that our product offering is always relevant and compliant.

Axelent’s entire business concept is centred on protecting people in industrial environments and always being to the fore in development when it comes to safety. As an active member of the Swedish Committee on Machine Safety (SiS), Axelent also helps to advance the country’s standardisation work and complies with Swedish government directives and the Vienna Agreement.

All this made reinstating the Axelent Safety Group a natural step – to both strengthen efforts in and increase knowledge of machine safety within the Axelent Group. The group is tasked with, among other things, safety issues concerning the entire business, from efforts for safer and automated warehousing to production and machine guards.

The revamped group was initiated by Mikael Ström, Product Manager at Axelent AB. With the help of Sven Toftgård (Axelent AB), Marc Van den Ende (Axelent Benelux), Eric Plana (Axelent Spain) and the external machine safety expert Matthias Schulz, the group will ensure that a high level of knowledge is maintained within the Axelent Group.

And now we’re reinstating the Axelent Safety Group with the aim of increasing knowledge and remaining at the forefront of safety while ensuring that our know-how benefits our customers in the best possible way.
